![]() slightly improved simulation performance ![]() much improved support for large texture packs, which was FC's most significant limitation fix not creating the config folder if it doesn't exist ![]() faster serialization and deserialization much improved culling and related tasks fix crash from setting enableCullingTweaks to false fix compatibility with named entities with invalid AABBs as used for server-side for banners This worked wonders on my set up, which in 1.7.10 was virtually unplayable before. There is a 'mod-patch' called Fastcraft that really helps cure the lag problems: It seems the issue only manifests itself on a client that is also acting as a server (SSP / lan shared games) ![]() (LexManos trying to say it is not a forge problem) Here are a couple threads regarding the issue The more mods that make world gen changes you have, the worse the problem gets. (info courtesy of Shadowmage on the AW mod)Īny mods that add world-gen will make the problem worse, but there is nothing any of the authors can do to fix it. Meaning, there is nothing at all that modders can do about the problem - apparently it is a 'known issue' with 1.7.10. Regarding the unfeasible amount of lag some people are suffering on 1.7.10, for those of you experiencing lots and lots of lag - its not primarily a mod issue - it is a vanilla problem that is caused by block-relight calculations when chunks are unloaded on the client-side (only an absolute idiot of a programmer runs lighting calculations on blocks that are UNLOADED! - mods merely exacerbate this problem until it becomes unplayable (anything that causes changes in a chunk). If you are suffering from very bad lag, low frame rates and next to zero chunck updates then try this - its worked wonders on my 1.7.10 set up. Mojang has REALLY screwed up 1.7.10 and introduced a vast amount of lag that just shouldn't be there. ![]()
